My Friends

PJ here. This is quite possibly the hardest thing I've ever done. After a nearly 4 year battle against breast cancer, last night Dina peacefully went home to be with Jesus. Her bravery, strength and courage are a testament to the amazing woman that she was. Dina touched so many lives and I had the opportunity to be along for the ride.

As information is finalized regarding her memorial service I will pass it along to you all. Thank you again for all you have done for our family over the past four years. You have filled us with such blessings and feelings of comfort and love.

  4. Dear P.J. and family,
Dina is in the loving arms of our savior now. She followed the great commission right to the end, sharing Christ's saving grace with everyone she met. I met Dina at WOW when I was first diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer and she helped me so much. Through Dina I learned to cherish the little things in life and always have Christ as my focus. I pray for your family and friends that after the grief subsides, they can remember all the good times and look forward to seeing her again. Thank you, dear P.J. for writing this difficult entry.

  5. Just speechless....so heartbroken. I have been following Dina for about a year and a half. I have prayed for her and your family every day. I know that God has a plan for us all and that she is now with our Heavenly Father at peace, but I can only imagine your grief. I will continue to pray for you all in the days and weeks ahead. Dina was truly an inspiration to us all. God bless you.

  6. I too am saddened but just know Dina is still with her family and friends. There is no way her spirit could leave them.

  7. May God fill your hearts with comfort and peace during this incredibly difficult time and throughout your lives. There are not the right words to say to make this any easier for you. I would like to say what an inspiration Dina was to me and will continue to be for as long as I am alive. I have shared her story with many friends and family who in turn started to follow this blog as well as pray for you all for quite sometime. When I think I'm having a horrible day or medical things come up I often thought "what would Dina do? What would Dina say? How would Dina pray?" She touched the lives of so many, whether she ever met them or not. I don't have to tell you how amazing and strong she was.... You already know. What a wonderful legacy she has left for those beautiful girls. What a wonderful strong husband God blessed her with as well. My family will continue to pray for yours long after these tough times. I am grateful she is at the right hand of God on all of our sides. God bless you all.

  8. She is standing on the shore; the wind fills her sails and she heads out to sea. Someone next to me says, "She is gone." Gone where? The absence of sight is in me, not in her. For at the same moment, on a distant shore, others take up the glad shout...."Here she comes."

    Godspeed Dina...
Peaceful thoughts to your family and friends,

    D.L.
